Happy Turkey Day!

Wishing you some of these Thursday! We are headed to a cabin with family. These photos are from last year when we hosted some of Paul's family. He loves to cook the turkey and I love to make sides and pies-yum! PC's says his favorite t-day food is pumpkin pie. Ellie was so sick last year that she didn't eat. So, I am excited to see what things she likes this year.

Pigtails & Ellie the Elephant

Ellie's first pigtails. It was her idea. They only lasted about 15 mins and we used some of my ugly black bands. I can't wait to get some cute holders and try again.

She was very confused when a cartoon with a character named Ellie came on today. She kept staring at the tv with a funny look and waving when they would say her name. It was too cute.

Fun in the Leaves

The kiddos love playing in the leaves. We sure have enough of them for plenty afternoon fun. I rake 'em up and they jump in them. This may be the reason they are both on Zyrtec though!

Halloween

They loved the over the top decorations that were all over our friend's neighborhood.
Ellie knew exactly what to do this year and was not afraid to march right up to the door by herself. She wouldn't say thank you but she blew kisses at each house.
Trick or treating in our friend's neighborhood bc we don't have sidewalks and we do have monster hills
She was so tired after walking up and down
My little pumpkin
Ellie loved the Firehouse subs Dalmation
Trick or treating downtown
How cute is that! The kids loved him bc he's like Hundley from curious george.
Whatcha got over there?!

Lipstick

Is this girl sassy or what?! I think she has put actually lipstick/gloss on a handful of times already. She has on Miss Bess's here. She will pitch a crying & screaming fit now if you don't let her have a little bit of chapstick or gloss. Heaven forbid those lips get chapped. Oh, and she says the word makeup!

Farm & Pumpkin Pickin'

PC jumping into the cornbox. He loved it and could've stayed there all day. Momma didn't love that I found corn in the house, car and dryer for days afterwards-yuck!

Neither kiddo was excited about a hayride pic. PC is at the age where he can fire back a sassy face when he doesn't like the papparazi.
Ellie picked out her own pumpkin. I was pretty impressed bc it was one that I was excited about keeping.
She had to taste it to make sure though!
PC with the final three chosen ones.

Apple Picking

We went on a hay ride

Ellie loved the petting zoo!

They had fun play houses at the apple orchard we visited with friends early this fall. It was a perfect day bc not so many folks were there, it wasn't too hot and tons of apples were on the trees. Oh, and they had the best apple cider doughnuts and cider slushes.

Sunday Night Football

Bubba's Bday

He's covering his bases with a wish and a prayer before blowing out his birthday pancake (can you tell he goes to a religious school?!)
he was so excited about his toys..he had a few that he REALLY wanted one of which was this one-Hal E. Copter

PC's bday fell on a weekend which might have been a good thing but we live in a college town. Folks tailgate in our yard so Saturday's in the fall aren't good for bday parties. So, we celbrated family style on the big day & had friends for a pizza dinner and then had a party in October.

16 Months-September

kissing the baby in the mirror
She says "cool dude" when she wears sunglasses
E was 16months in September. She looks like a toddler now and not a baby. We love her curls and sassy little attitude. It is so fun to hear her say new things and watch her get in to everything (including the top of the dining room table!). I have to watch her every minute.

September Catch-up

He fell asleep playing after school-right in the middle of all of his toys
Telling E and Daddy good-bye on the first day with NO TEARS! Wow-what a difference a year makes.
So, I am really behind on the blog lately and in life! It has taken me a while to get in the swing of things and a routine since school started for PC. He is now in kindergarten at his little school. He absolutely loves it-really-he asks me to stay for after-care. I am not sure if I should be happy about that or not?! He has eleven friends in his class and they are all so cute & funny. E and I ate lunch with them last Friday and she wanted to stay bc it was so much fun. I can't believe he's 5 and at school all day. What a big boy!

18 Months

I can't believe she is 18 months already! She is a busy girl..is always running around sassy..loves soccer..Dora & Elmo..hotdogs & fruit& chocolate..is a Daddy's girl..loves to play with her Bubba, take baths, say NO and read books. She'll yell touchdown and FOOTBall! She still doesn't like being confined in the carseat or stroller or having to say goodbye to Daddy and Bubba in the mornings.

How Ellie rolls..

I run with two other mommas on Monday mornings. Today we ran 4 around the garden and the girls were very quiet at the end. We pulled up to the cars and they were zonked. How cute are they!?

Creek time!

Ellie eating the boat that she made
Snacktime in the cabin

There were pretty butterflies all over the creek

We went to church camp with Paul's family. Everyone had so much fun. The kiddos loved playing in the creek with their cousins and spending time with grandparents. PC was able to do some fishing and smore roasting too. Ellie is getting to be such a big girl. She even wanted to pet the crawdads.
